LIPITOR (and other statin drugs): http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/its-not-dementia-its-your-heart-medication/ Statins like Lipitor cause memory problems. Learn about adverse side effects. CoQ10 recommended as a supplement. http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/high-blood-cholesterol/in-depth/statin-side-effects/art-20046013
The below on page 15 is the result of the clinical trial. 3% of the placebo group had a heart attack and 2% of the Lipitor group, only a 1% benefit after 3 ½ years! https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/drugsatfda_docs/label/2009/020702s056lbl.pdf
http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/high-blood-cholesterol/in-depth/statin-side-effects/art-20046013 “The most common statin side effect is muscle pain. You may feel this pain as a soreness, tiredness or weakness in your muscles. The pain can be a mild discomfort, or it can be severe enough to make your daily activities difficult. For example, you might find climbing stairs or walking to be uncomfortable or tiring.”
http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2011/06/22/new-study-show-using-statins-actually-worsens-your-heart-function.aspx “Take this study in Clinical Cardiology. It found that heart muscle function was "significantly better" in the control group than in those taking statin drugs!” “Required labeling in Canada, however, clearly warns of CoQ10 depletion and even notes that this nutrient deficiency "could lead to impaired cardiac function in patients with borderline congestive heart failure."
http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2014/04/14/vitamin-d-cholesterol-levels.aspx “Cholesterol sulfate is produced in large amounts in your skin when it is exposed to sunshine. When you are deficient in cholesterol sulfate from lack of sun exposure, your body employs another mechanism to increase it, as it is essential for optimal heart and brain function.” But this produces the bad cholesterol.
I get much less sunshine than when I was young. I now get regular exposure to UVB which produces good cholesterol. The UVB lamp is available at https://www.sciencelighting.com/sankyo-denki-g15t8e-uvb-linear-lamp/ After receiving the lamp, go to Home Depot and get a fixture to make sure that it is the right size for the bulb. A T8 size bulb is about 18 inches, but the T8 fixtures were listed at 36 inches.
