60 Minutes, “Exploring Sexual Orientation”
Researchers found two sets of identical male identical twins where one is obviously gay and the other is totally straight. One set was 5 years old! The conclusion is that something happens in the womb that can feminize the male brain of one genetically identical twin and not the other.

It is evident from the above that, with possibly of the rare exception of choice, males are either born gay or straight but it is not genetic. Therefore, there has to have an environmental component.
I discovered the following on the internet:
Detergent (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, SLS) forms estrogen compounds in the sewer system.

“Wastewater treatment plants were not originally designed to handle these compounds, widely used both commercially and residentially in products such as detergents, cleaning products and adhesives. Operators are scrambling to keep up with the hormone-mimickers gushing into their plants.”
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3807508/
“The compounds of greatest hormonal activity in sewage effluent are the natural estrogens.
The anatomical and physiological changes in the fauna are illustrated by feminization of male gonads.”
Being gay has been around a long time, there are even biblical references. I cannot find the data but strongly suspect that the incidence of males being born gay has increased dramatically in the last 50 years or so. If that is true, the source could be sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), invented in the 1950’s, that, if ingested, turns into estrogens in the intestinal sewer system of your body. Both men and women should avoid these estrogens in the diet.
SLS detergent is in most toothpaste, mouthwash, and what is called soap. It is a bad idea to ingest detergent or wash with it. Use castile soap for bathing and washing dishes. However, i still use detergent for washing clothes.
See: https://roysrant.com/detergent-vs-soap for more information.
FOODS TO AVOID: Sodium lauryl sulfate is also an ingredient in some foods.
https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-21/chapter-I/subchapter-B/part-172/subpart-I/section-172.822
“Sodium dodecyl sulfate, appearing as its synonym sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), is considered a generally recognized as safe (GRAS) ingredient for food use as an emulsifier in or with egg whites the United States Code of Federal Regulations require that it must not exceed 1,000 parts per million (0.1%) in egg white solids or 125 parts per million (0.0125%) in frozen or liquid egg whites and as a whipping agent for the preparation of marshmallows (or lemon meringue pie) it must not exceed 0.5% of the weight of gelatin.”
